We welcome young women ages 9-16 to join our braiding programs. Each program has specific requirements to ensure that participants are placed in the appropriate level based on their experience and goals.
Entry Requirements:
• Age: 9-16 years old
• Experience: No prior braiding experience required
• Commitment: Willingness to attend all 4 classes and practice skills between sessions
• Parent/Guardian Consent: Required for participants under 18
• Materials: Participants must bring their own braiding supplies (e.g., mannequin head, hair tools). Supplies may be available for purchase at a discounted rate for members.
Entry Requirements:
• Age: 9-16 years old
• Experience: Must have completed the Braiding Basics Program or have basic braiding knowledge (e.g., able to braid simple three-strand braids etc).
• Commitment: Must attend all 8 classes and demonstrate practice outside of class
• Parent/Guardian Consent: Required for participants under 18
• Materials: Participants must bring their own hair supplies (or purchase through the program).
Entry Requirements:
• Age: 9-16 years old
• Experience: Must have completed the Intermediate Braiding Program or demonstrate proficiency in basic braiding skills, including box braids, cornrows, and twists.
• Commitment: Participants must be prepared to dedicate extra time to mastering advanced styles and techniques
• Parent/Guardian Consent: Required for participants under 18
• Materials: Advanced students are encouraged to bring their own hair tools and extensions for practice, or purchase through the program.
Entry Requirements:
• Age: 9-16 years old
• Experience: Open to all skill levels—whether you’re just starting or looking to refine your expertise.
• Commitment: Must be ready to take full advantage of unlimited classes, workshops, and mentorship
• Parent/Guardian Consent: Required for participants under 18
• Materials: Members will receive a discount on all tools and supplies.

• Experience: Prior experience in braiding (at least basic or intermediate level), or completion of the Braiding Basics or Intermediate Program
• Commitment: Willingness to dedicate time to business-building lessons and practice outside of class
• Parent/Guardian Consent: Required for participants under 18
• Materials: Participants will need to bring a portfolio of their work (if available), as well as their own braiding supplies
• Additional Considerations: A brief application or interview may be required to determine readiness for the entrepreneurial program.

• Commitment: Must attend the full-day or weekend workshop
• Parent/Guardian Consent: Required for participants under 18
• Materials: All necessary materials will be provided, though participants may bring their own tools if preferred.
General Program Requirements for All Participants:
• Active Participation: All students must be engaged during classes and practice between sessions.
• Respect and Professionalism: Participants are expected to behave professionally, respect their peers and instructors, and maintain a positive attitude throughout the program.
• Attendance: Consistent attendance is crucial for success in all programs. If a participant needs to miss a class, they must inform the instructor in advance and make up the material if possible.
• Parental Involvement: Parents/guardians are encouraged to be involved in their child’s learning journey and may be required to attend certain events or meetings, especially for younger participants.
